Birchim Community Services District (BCSD) is located at 636 Owens Gorge Rd. Tom’s Place, CA.

Mono Co. Board of Supervisors established BCSD by Resolution 2-63 on January 7, 1963. The District, Sunny Slopes, owns a small parcel of property on which is located three wells and a pump house. Sunny Slopes is approximately 83 acres with 76 residences. BCSD provides service to approximately 150 people who call Sunny Slopes home.

The pump house has electrical and monitoring equipment that pumps water a half a mile up the landscape to two water storage tanks. In 1997 tank #1 was built; it holds 210,000 gallons of water. In 2013 tank #2 was built holding 47,000 gallons. These two tanks help with the distribution of water to all residences.
